Downtime Reporting Software

Delta’s Down Time Reporting Software has been designed specifically for the mining industry to monitor downtime on equipment throughout a mine.

Delta Down Time Reporting captures faults on any equipment linked to the software in real time. We provide an easy to use interface to capture and report on down time, making it easier to determine the exact cause of a fault and record it in real time. Reports are created in the time it takes to click a button making it easier for management to monitor their mines activities.

Our web‐based solution means that no additional licences or installations are required. Just install the system on a web server and users can access their individual profile from where ever they are, on any machine – the world over!

How does it work?

Modular PLC code is added to each PLC to monitor operation, when a fault occurs the address of the root cause of the fault is logged to a register within the PLC and a flag set. The monitoring system continuously scans all PLC’s and longwall control equipment to look for these flags and once a trip has been flagged will retrieve and log the address to an MySQL database. This means that only the root cause of the trip is logged resulting in minimal communication bandwidth being used and minimal data being logged.
